I got hooked on the typical Tokyo-style Ramenfrom the traditional Chinese restaurantin Azabu Jyuban, near Roppongi.
This restaurant is called Eishin, a cozy eating spot runby a family for more than 40 years.

Eishin is a neighborhood-type restaurant but has also been popular
with some customersfrom other areas besides Azabu Jyuban
because of its elaborate recipes and reasonable price.
The price positioning is a little higher in the market
but still worth paying, considering the quality.
The seasoned broth is clear and smooth,
yet with a sharp finish. The noodles are thin and
have an excellent texture to bite.
Wanton has pork meatballswith delicate rice dumpling skin,
which tastes intensely with juice from the minced meat.
Moreover, with all the delicious foodstuff,
this Wanton-men is big enough to make me full and
impressively sufficient to return to Eishin.
By the way, Wanton-men is a wanton and ramen set menu.
This Wanton-men is one of the signature menus of Eishin.
Thus, if you want to pretend to be a localcustomer,
you should say Wanton-men to order this menu item.
The toppings of this recipe are very simple, with BBQ pork,
green vegetables, and bamboo shootsseasoned
with soy sauce and some sweet seasoning.
Besides Wanton-men, Eishin has many fantastic menu
items such as fried rice, sautéed vegetables,
and meat added with hot sauce.
This cozy Chinese restaurant is not upscale nor fancy
but just a nice eating spot.
The venue is not new; the cash register (see photo) has been
used for over forty years,
and now it is no longer used but only as decoration.

All service staff is friendly enough to bring us
a comfortable mood, and it gets away with it,
even though accommodation seems to be old-fashioned.
Customers range from solo eaters to groupswith family and friends.
The demographic condition is also varied.
However, the common denominator of customers seems
to be food seekers targeting meticulouslybalanced tastes with affordability.
Thus, Eishin has been loved by its loyal customers.
In a nutshell, the current owner followsthe essential motto from the founder of
this restaurant back in the '70s.

You should stop by this traditional restaurant if interested in one of genius tastes.
Enjoying this authentic savor is a productive way to make a Ramen story
when you return to your hometown.
